Continuing Education Tuition

Tuition rates for Continuing Education programs are largely dependent on the type of course in which you enroll and sometimes on your status as a Colorado resident/nonresident or undergraduate/graduate student. Additional fees may apply. Discounts may be available for University of Colorado faculty, staff, retirees, and Alumni Association members.

For CU Boulder degree students, tuition for Continuing Education courses is charged in addition to and separate from your main campus tuition. Continuing Education tuition is charged per credit hour, beginning at $499 per credit, in addition to CU Boulder main campus tuition. For example, if you enroll in both main campus courses and a Continuing Education course in the same semester, you will be billed separately for the amount of your main campus tuition and CE tuition. If you are only enrolled in CE classes, you will only receive a bill from CE. If you’re a nonresident and you enroll in more than 6 credits of any combination of ACCESS, Evening Credit, Applied Music, Individualize Instruction course/s you’ll be charged full non-resident tuition.

Cost of Attendance

Residency

Tuition classification is based on your residency: Colorado resident or non-resident. If you have lived in Colorado for the past 12 months, you may be eligible for in-state tuition rates. You can find more detailed residency guidelines and exceptions on the Office of the Registrar’s website. The university is not free to make exceptions to the rules except as specifically permitted by state law.
