Bursar and Accounting Services

Continuing Education is pleased to provide bursar and accounting services to our students.

If you have a question about your tuition bill, setting up a payment plan, paying your tuition and/or student fees, etc., please contact us at 303-492-2212 or email us at cebursar@colorado.edu.

Our staff is available from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday in the fall and spring (summer hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday via phone and email; Monday through Thursday for in-person services). We are located on the second floor of the Continuing Education Building.

Tuition Due Dates

Bills become available in Buff Portal (CUBill&Pay for authorized payers) by the second Thursday of each month after you register for classes. Payment is due on the 5th of the following month. Postmarks and post-dated checks are not honored. Dates may be subject to change without notice.

Tuition and Fee Agreement and Disclosure

All students who enroll in courses at the University of Colorado Boulder are held responsible for payment as described in the Tuition and Fee Agreement and Disclosure. Students accept the terms of this agreement during the registration process in Buff Portal.

Cost of Attendance

Tuition and fees are just one part of the overall cost to attend CU Boulder. The full cost of attendance for an academic year could include expenses such as housing and food, books and supplies and items that are not billed by the university, such as personal expenses, transportation and medical insurance. Discounts

Continuing Education offers the following discounts to University of Colorado staff:

Class Discounts

Current and retired staff from any of the CU campuses, including the CU System, are eligible for tuition discounts for classes offered through the following programs:

The International English Center offers a 25% discount.
The CE Evening Credit program offers a 50% discount.
Applied Music and CE Online Credit programs offer a 20% discount on all courses with the exception of term-based WRTG courses.

University of Colorado faculty, staff and professional researchers must be employed at least half-time and are required to provide a printed copy of their “job list” from Peoplesoft or some equivalent form of documentation when requesting a discount from Continuing Education.

For questions about, and to request a discount, please contact us at cebursar@colorado.edu or 303-492-5148. Once your discount status is approved, the Accounting team will apply the discount to your account. Please keep in mind that you must request the discount via email every semester.

Alumni receive a 10% discount off in-state tuition for one Continuing Education course per semester. For more information about how to obtain this discount, please contact us at cebursar@colorado.edu.

Offered in partnership with the University of Colorado’s Alumni Association. Members of the HERD and “New Graduate Members” are not eligible for this discount.

International English Center

The International English Center offers a 25% discount for the spouses and children of CU faculty, CU staff and current degree-seeking students. For more information about how to obtain this discount, please contact us at cebursar@colorado.edu.

Science Discovery

Science Discovery offers a 10% discount to the children of CU faculty, staff and students. For more information about how to obtain this discount, please contact us at cebursar@colorado.edu.
