CU Complete Fall 2026 and Beyond Scholarship

The section below is for eligible students applying for the CU Complete scholarship program for fall 2026 and beyond. Students who received the previous version of the CU Complete scholarship are welcome to apply for the updated program as long as they meet the new eligibility requirements.

  • Eligible students will receive $1,000 per semester.
  • Each semester after their first semester of enrollment in the CU Complete Scholarship program, the student’s performance will be reviewed to determine if they qualify for an additional $250. Students must earn at least a 2.3 term GPA in 6 or more credits in their previous CU Complete semester to receive an additional $250 during their next CU Complete semester.
  • Students are eligible for the CU Complete scholarship for up to six consecutive semesters as long as they meet the renewal criteria.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the CU Complete scholarship program, students must meet the following criteria:

  • have completed at least 90 credits (with at least 45 credits from CU Boulder)
  • have taken a minimum of two consecutive years away from their CU Boulder enrollment
  • be degree-seeking
  • be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree
  • take at least 3 credits every semester they participate in the program
  • be able to graduate within six consecutive terms or two consecutive years

Renewal Criteria

The CU Complete scholarship may be renewed for up to six total semesters as long as students meet the renewal criteria. Recipients are automatically eligible for renewal; no further application is required. The following criteria will be reviewed each semester to confirm eligibility:

  • Students must be making progress toward their degree.
  • Students must earn credit each semester they enroll (i.e., students must not complete a semester with all F, W, and/or I grades).

Students who do not meet renewal criteria will be placed on a probationary status with the option to appeal. The second semester a student enrolls without earning credit, the student will no longer be eligible to participate in the program.

How to Apply

Schedule an appointment with a Continuing Education academic advisor. After your intake is complete, an academic advisor will provide you with the CU Complete Program - Scholarship Application. This application involves attesting that you understand the program’s eligibility criteria and includes a short, 250-word essay about your return to CU Boulder and your long-term goals. This application must be completed for you to finalize your participation in the CU Complete program and to receive your scholarship.

Notably, this intake process should be completed at least one month prior to the end of the semester for students to receive the CU Complete scholarship. If a student finalizes their participation in the CU Complete program after this deadline, they may begin their enrollment in the program and receive their first $1,000 scholarship in the subsequent semester.

For questions about CU Complete or the scholarship, please call 303-492-9671 or email cucomplete@colorado.edu to speak with an academic advisor.
