Email Policy

The University’s method of communication to you is via your Colorado.EDU email account. It is essential that you activate your Colorado.EDU email account in order to receive up-to-date announcements about your class(es), tuition account statements, course changes, new offerings, changes in processes/procedures/policies, news/events, etc. After you have activated your Identikey, please visit the CU Boulder email set up page for more information.

Buff OneCard

If you plan to attend classes on campus, we strongly recommend you purchase a Buff OneCard in order to access campus services like computer labs, printing services, and dining services. Cards may be purchased for $30 from the Buff OneCard Office located in the Center for Community building in room N180. You must have a Buff OneCard to access CE Evening Credit classes on campus.

Student Health Insurance

Fall and Spring

Continuing Education students who are enrolled for credit courses may be eligible to purchase health insurance through Wardenburg Health Center, the on-campus healthcare provider. Students must also purchase the optional student fees (for the bus pass, recreation center, etc.) in order to enroll in health insurance. For eligibility requirements, deadlines, and more information visit the Health and Wellness Services website or call 303-492-5107.

Some students may be automatically enrolled in the CU Gold Health Insurance Plan, and additional student fees will be assessed. During the fall and spring semesters students are automatically enrolled if they are:

• a degree-seeking student,
• enrolled in at least one Continuing Education course, and
• enrolled in 6 or more credits as an undergraduate or enrolled in 1 or more credits as a graduate student.

Summer

Students enrolled in a health insurance plan for the spring semester are also covered during the summer.

New summer students are not automatically enrolled in an insurance plan, but have the opportunity to purchase coverage at the Wardenburg Health Center by July 1. Payment is due at enrollment.
