Tyler Harrison Joyner
Tyler Harrison has composed and performed his compositions in the United States and abroad, including performances in Montana, Oregon, New York, Los Angeles, and Paris, France. In 2010, his work for orchestra, Train of Thought, was chosen to be performed by the Orchestra Unleashed in North Hollywood, California. Most recently in 2012, his Concerto for Piano, Winds, and Percussion was awarded the George Lynn Prize at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate in composition studying with Daniel Kellogg. Tyler Harrison holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Montana, and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. His previous teachers include Kevin Beavers, Carter Pann, David Maslanka, Susan Botti, J. Mark Stambaugh, and Charles Nichols.
