Drew Donica
Drew Donica graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, receiving a double degree in piano performance and Spanish, with an emphasis in piano pedagogy. As the recipient of various scholarships and grants, Drew has been honored to present, perform, and teach in each of his disciplines. With an eclectic taste in music, Drew studied percussion, handbells, organ, harpsichord, and has an affinity for performing works by Latin American composers. Drew is well versed in collaborative performance, including musicals, opera scenes, choir, vocal, instrumental, chamber, and duo piano works. Satisfying both his interests as a pianist and Spanish speaker, Drew studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and participated in the Gijon International Piano Festival in Gijon, Spain. Drew is currently pursuing a MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying with David Koreevar and Alejandro Cremaschi. Drews previous teachers include Melanie Brsan, Anthony Padilla, and Mary Van De Loo. He strives to inspire his students to become lifelong music lovers, through individualized, invested teaching.
