Adam Riggs
Adam began his cello studies at the age of 4. Since then Adam has been a winner of several music competitions and has attended many summer music festivals where he has worked with some of the best teachers and performers in the business. Adam has a Bachelor of Music, Honours Performance Degree and a Chamber Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and a Master of Music degree in performance from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, where he studied with Mihai Tetel. He completed a year of the Artist Diploma program at Hartt before transferring into the highly competitive Doctor of Musical Arts degree offered at University of Colorado Boulder, which he is currently pursuing study with Judith Glyde. Adam plays on a cello made in 2008 by well-known Canadian maker Gregory T. Walke and a bow by Gregory
