CWA Livestream presented by CU Boulder Continuing Education
For more than a century, Continuing Education’s mission has been to extend the university’s resources in nontraditional ways. This year those efforts include providing the resources needed to livestream sessions of the 70th Conference on World Affairs (CWA) on the CU Boulder campus.
A conference goal is to share the conversations had by thought leaders from across the world who are gathered on the CU Boulder campus. Each year the CWA streams sessions online, free-of-charge, to as many people as possible. This year’s CWA week (April 9-13) features 111 speakers from around the US and 25 different countries; 60 of the over 200 sessions open to the public, without charge will be livestreamed via the CWA website and later made available online via the CWA Youtube archive page.
The Division of Continuing Education will cover the significant production and staffing costs of livestreaming 60 events this year.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Conference on World Affairs to bring livestream capabilities to the conference this year,” said Dr. Sara Thompson, Dean, Division of Continuing Education. “Our mission at Continuing Education is to extend the university’s resources and engage diverse populations with lifelong learning opportunities. This partnership gives us the opportunity to further that mission in a new and valuable way.”
“We’re so grateful to Continuing Education for their invaluable livestream partnership,” said John Griffin, CWA faculty director. “This medium is critical to CWA’s mission to ‘educate, engage, and inspire’ an ever-widening, diverse audience.”
