Keith Waters and Yonatan Malin

Yonatan Malin is associate professor in the College of Music at CU-Boulder. He is author of Songs in Motion: Rhythm and Meter in the German Lied (Oxford University Press 2010), and he has been editor of Music Theory Online: A Journal of the Society for Music Theory. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and lectures widely on song analysis, Jewish music, and analytical approaches to world music.

Keith Waters is professor at the College of Music at CU Boulder. He is author of the award-winning book The Studio Recordings of the Miles Davis Quintet, 1965-68 (Oxford University Press 2011), co-author of the textbook Jazz: The First Hundred Years, now in its third edition, and he lectures widely on topics related to jazz and popular music. As a jazz pianist he has recorded and performed throughout the U.S., Europe, and in Russia.
